My husband and I, we are the owners of Artisan Home Bakery: micro bakery specializing in delicious, genuine 100% sourdough breads, bagels and croissants located in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
My baking journey started while I was working as an editor and an author for a well-established cooking and lifestyle magazine. My responsibilities included overseeing website building and designing, seo managing. With all the experience I’ve gained, I decided to build and design my own home bakery e-commerce website from scratch. Having a bakery was always my dream and finally decided to give it a shot in 2019.
The pandemic gave me the time and opportunity to concentrate on my sourdough breads and working all the details of managing a micro bakery. My husband has been a great help and supporter of my bakery’s success.
We take pride in crafting 100% genuine sourdough breads that embody the true essence of traditional baking. Our commitment to authenticity means that every bread we produce is a testament to the art of sourdough craftsmanship. Our breads are made exclusively with sourdough starter, meaning we never use commercial yeast. The natural fermentation process is what gives our bread its distinctive tangy flavor and chewy texture.
We believe in keeping things simple and wholesome. Our breads do not contain artificial preservatives, additives, or chemicals, ensuring that every bite is as pure as nature intended. We source only the finest non-GMO ingredients for our bread, respecting both your health and the environment. Our flour and other components are chosen to maintain the integrity of our artisanal process. Each bread is carefully hand-shaped and baked to perfection. Our experienced bakers follow traditional techniques to ensure a consistently high-quality product.
